Although the transportation was good between the sites- We were extremely disappointed with the Avignon-Les-Baux-de-Provence-and-Chateauneuf-du-Pape-Day-Trip-from-Aix-en-Provence. This was the worse Viator trip I have taken- and I have taken many.The driver rattled off information so fast that no one understood half of what he was saying but that could have been overlooked if the wine tasting had not been absolutely horrible! Basically you are dropped off at each of the tour sights....guide does not accompany you....and then he picks you up in a couple hours at an agreed upon spot. Basically its a couple hundred dollars for taxi service.But that is not the worst of it-There is no excuse to have a BAD wine tour in France- ever. Our driver even stated that there had been many other complaints yet this tour company....TYLENE TRANSPORTATION operating as a Viator tour group has done nothing to correct this.Upon arrival we were give a headset to walk through a showroom museum. Afterwhich a rude employee showed up....sighed with disgust that she had to do another tasting....told us NOTHING about the winery or the wine and proceeded to have us taste three wines...two of which were the same wine just different years. The tasting lasted 4 Mins MAX....she then pointed to where we could buy bottles of wine and left. Thats it! You are NOT at a winery.....you are at a showroom.We were all shocked and not a single person on our tour had a good thing to say about it when we were asked to write our reviews.So DO NOT book this tour and I intend to contact individuals with Viator/ trip advisor in Boston when I return to the US.Big disappointment.
